Welcome to the Career Center Hub
Are you CAREER-READY?
What is Work-Based Learning? WBL is a new initiative of the NV DOE that provides students with authentic work experiences, enabling them to develop and apply technical skills that can help them succeed in careers and post-secondary education.
Mrs. Wendy Hopper is the new full-time Coordinator of the program. This year, we have already had a successful Career Fair in January. At the Career Fair, there were approximately 650 students, grades 8-12. They visited 60+ career professionals during a Career Fair. They discovered new careers and learned about the day to day life of the professionals. LEARN MORE ABOUT IT.
Planned WBL Activities include:
Career Interest Inventories
Guest Speakers & Industry Tours
Internships & Job Shadowing
Job Seeking Assistance:
Resume & Portfolios
We have a NEW College and Career Center. Students will have the opportunity to utilize the resources in the Center so that they may complete college applications, scholarship assistance, go on a journey of self-discovery to find their passion, find and apply for summer jobs, and learn new work-based skills.
Hours: 8:00-4:00 Monday – Friday
Location: Classroom in the gym (look for the sign!) next to boys locker room

Students may explore careers through guest speakers, career fairs, job shadowing, online research, summer programs, internships, and apprenticeships.
Learn through self-assessments what you are good at and interested in. Learn what careers are right for you.
Students may request help creating presentation materials so that they can apply for jobs, internships and other work-based experiences in a professional manner.
